Missions

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

At Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, we love missions that embody the love and teachings of Jesus Christ by reaching out beyond our walls and into our communities and the world. We believe that every individual is called to serve and share the Gospel through compassionate action, spirit-led partnerships, and empowering local ministries. Our outreach initiatives focus on meeting practical needs, and fostering spiritual growth, all while building meaningful relationships that reflect Christ’s love. Whether through volunteer work, international missions, or local community service, we strive to inspire and mobilize our congregation to actively participate in transformative efforts that bring hope and healing to those in need. Join us as we work together to make a lasting impact in our neighborhoods and beyond!

Missions

Annie Armstrong

The Annie Armstrong Mission emphasizes the importance of reaching North America with the message of the Gospel, named in honor of Annie Armstrong, a key figure in the early 20th century who championed missions and church planting. Established by the Southern Baptist Convention, this mission seeks to support and equip church planters and missionaries across the continent, particularly in urban and underserved areas. Armstrong’s legacy is rooted in her passionate advocacy for mission work and her role in founding the Woman's Missionary Union (WMU), which mobilized women to engage in missions. Through various initiatives, the Annie Armstrong Mission supports not only the spiritual needs of communities but also addresses social issues, fostering holistic ministry that uplifts and transforms lives. Each year, Southern Baptists participate in the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, which provides vital funding for these mission efforts, underscoring a collective commitment to spreading hope and faith across the nation.

Lottie Moon

The Lotti Moon Mission, named after the pioneering Southern Baptist missionary Lottie Moon, is an initiative focused on mobilizing churches and believers to engage in global missions, particularly in regions that have limited access to the Gospel. Since its inception, the mission has emphasized the importance of prayer, financial support, and hands-on involvement in spreading Christian teachings and humanitarian aid. Lottie Moon, who dedicated nearly 40 years of her life to mission work in China during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, serves as an inspirational figure for this movement, highlighting the significant impact of individual commitment and sacrifice in the realm of global evangelism. The mission encourages communities to advocate for and support missionaries working in various cultural contexts, fostering a spirit of unity and compassion in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Local Children's Food Pantry

Mission Georgia

Our mission is to nourish the bodies and minds of children in our community by providing access to healthy, nutritious food through our dedicated school food pantry program. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and succeed in their education, and that starts with having proper nutrition. By partnering with local schools, we aim to remove the barriers of hunger that can hinder academic performance and overall well-being. Our compassionate team works tirelessly to provide wholesome meals and snacks to students in need, fostering a supportive environment where every child feels valued and cared for. Together, we can create a brighter, healthier future for our students, one meal at a time.
No one knows Georgia like us. It's in our name. It IS our mission. And when we see our neighbors struggling - with adoption and foster care, childhood literacy, human trafficking, maternity care, and refugee support - we are called to help. Like you, we want to see our communities thrive. We also recognize that good works require hard work - from all of us. If you've got a heart for your part of our great state, make Georgia your mission, too.
